“Bound: for Amelia Rosselli” is an homage to Amelia Rosselli, one of the most important Italian poets of the twentieth century. It consists of a selection of 12 of my published and unpublished poems produced in collaboration with composer Alan Chamberlain and music producer & musician Gary Bromham, as well as with sound artist Alo Allik and others. The series was created to mark time in lockdown. All the poems are accessible on Soundcloud.

Amelia Rosselli was born in a family living in political exile – her paternal grandmother was a secular Jewish Venetian feminist and republican thinker from a family active in the unification of Italy, her English mother was an activist for the Labour party and her Italian father was an intellectual leader and eventually a martyr of the anti-Fascist resistance. Rosselli was polylingual and also a musicologist with an acute sense for prosody and rhythm in poetic language. Rosselli died tragically; she ended her life in Rome in 1996.
